The materials
Linen is spun from the fibers of the flax plant. Cork is the bark of the cork oak, harvested from the living tree, which regrows it. Both are natural materials and both are biodegradable. That is the basis of the Eco Linen slipper: a linen upper, a cork sole, and a double-stitched edge. It is the one style in our range with no EVA sole.
What's different about the cork sole
Cork has a natural cell structure that gives it cushioning and grip, but it cannot be formed as thick as our 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) EVA sole, so the Eco Linen slipper has a slimmer profile underfoot. It is still a closed-toe slipper in the same two sizes — Medium, sized for women, US 6–10.5; Large, sized for men, US 8–12.5 — with the same wide, softly rounded toe.

What we claim, and what we don't
We say the Eco Linen slipper is made from natural, biodegradable materials, because it is. We do not say it is compostable, because we have not tested how it breaks down in a given facility or setting. We do not attach certifications we don't hold, and we make no claims about carbon, water, or the footprint of the finished product, because we haven't measured them. We think that is the honest way to sell a natural-materials slipper, and it lets you put it in a sustainability report without a footnote you'd have to defend.
Where it fits
Properties that choose Eco Linen tend to be the ones whose rooms are already built around natural materials — linen bedding, wood, stone — and who want the slipper to match the room rather than stand out from it. It reads as considered rather than plush. If your guests expect a thick, warm slipper, fleece or terry is the better fit, and we'd rather say so.
Ordering
Same as every style: quote on the calculator, digital mockup, physical stitched sample, written approval, invoice, 50% deposit, about four weeks of production, shipping quoted by destination. Logo embroidered up to 2.0 in (5 cm) on Medium and 2.2 in (5.5 cm) on Large. Setup fee $95.00 per logo for digitization.

Frequently asked questions
Are your hotel slippers biodegradable?
Our Eco Linen slipper is made from biodegradable materials: a natural linen upper on a natural cork sole. Our fleece, ribbed terry and waffle styles use a foam-laminated upper on an EVA sole and are not made from biodegradable materials.
Is the Eco Linen slipper compostable?
We do not make that claim. We state the materials — natural linen and natural cork, both biodegradable — and we have not tested how the finished slipper breaks down in any particular setting.
Do you have sustainability certifications?
No. We describe the materials the slipper is made from and do not attach certifications we do not hold.
Is the cork sole as thick as your other soles?
No. Cork cannot be formed as thick as EVA, so the Eco Linen sole is slimmer than the 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) EVA sole on our other styles. It is still a cushioned, closed-toe slipper in the same two sizes.
What is the minimum order for Eco Linen slippers?
500 pairs per style, per size, the same as every style. Each style-and-size line is priced on its own.
