Hotel slipper minimum order quantity, explained
Our minimum order is 500 pairs per style, per size. Each size is its own line, and every line is priced on its own. At a glance:

Why custom slippers have a minimum at all
A made-to-order embroidered slipper is a small production run, not a shelf item. Fabric is cut, soles are bonded and stitched, and each pair goes through an embroidery head loaded with your digitized logo. Setting that up has a fixed cost whether the run is 50 pairs or 5,000. A minimum spreads that cost over enough pairs that the per-pair price makes sense for a hotel budget. Ours is 500, which is low enough for a single boutique property and high enough to keep the per-pair price where it is.
What "per style, per size" means
This is the part that gets misread, so here it is plainly:
- 500 Medium Fleece=one line, meets the minimum.
- 500 Medium Fleece + 500 Large Fleece=two lines, 1,000 pairs total.
- 300 Medium + 200 Large of the same style=does not meet the minimum for either size.
- 500 Medium Fleece + 500 Medium Terry=two lines (different styles), 1,000 pairs total.

Every line on your quote is a style and a size, and every line needs 500 pairs. The calculator on our homepage enforces this — it won't price a line under 500.
How the volume tiers work
Volume pricing is applied to each line separately. A line of 1,000 pairs of one style in one size prices at the 1,000 tier. Five hundred Medium and 500 Large of the same style are two 500-pair lines, and each prices at the 500 rate — they do not add up to the 1,000 tier. The calculator prices it exactly this way.

How to size a first order to your property
You don't have to guess. Work from four numbers: rooms, pairs placed per stay, stays per room per month, and the months you want covered.

Example: a 40-room property places two pairs per room and turns each room about twelve times a month. That's 40 × 2 × 12 = 960 pairs a month. A first order of 1,000 pairs (500 Medium + 500 Large) covers roughly a month, with each line at the 500 rate; 1,000 of each size (2,000 pairs) covers about two months with both lines at the 1,000 rate; 2,500 of each size reaches the lowest rate on both lines.
Two practical notes. First, most properties order both sizes and place one of each in the room, so split your total evenly unless you know your guest mix. Second, reorders reuse your digitized logo file, so the setup fee doesn't repeat; the only reason to over-order a line is to reach a better tier, and the table above tells you whether that's worth it.
Why 500 is the number
Five hundred is one embroidery run of one design in one size. It lets a 30-room inn order without committing to a warehouse, and it lets a 300-room resort order exactly the mix it needs rather than rounding up to somebody else's tier. If your property needs fewer than 500 pairs of a size, the honest answer is that a made-to-order embroidered slipper probably isn't the right product for you yet — and we'd rather say that than push a bad fit.

Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for custom hotel slippers?
500 pairs per style, per size. Each size is its own 500-pair minimum. Ordering one style in both Medium and Large is 1,000 pairs.
Can I combine Medium and Large to reach 500 pairs?
No. Sizes do not combine. 300 Medium and 200 Large does not meet the minimum for either size. Each size line needs 500 pairs on its own.
Can I order 500 pairs of one style and 500 of another?
Yes. Each style-and-size line is priced on its own, and you can mix styles in one order. Every line still needs at least 500 pairs.
Is there a setup fee on every order?
The setup fee of $95.00 is charged per logo, because it pays for digitizing that logo into an embroidery file. One logo is one fee, however many styles or sizes you order. Reorders that reuse the same file do not pay it again.
Do 500 Medium and 500 Large get the 1,000-pair price?
No. Every style-and-size line is priced on its own. 500 Medium and 500 Large of one style are two 500-pair lines, each at the 500 rate. A single line reaches the 1,000 rate at 1,000 pairs of that style in that size.
